Social
Social
Our approach is informed by a commitment to social utility and the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles to deliver long-lasting value and community wellbeing.
The social infrastructure assets and businesses we invest in are principally ‘availability-based', with stable, fixed contractual revenues provided by local authorities that are not reliant on the demand of users in the community.
Education
We have a substantial presence in the educational sector, having developed, managed, or advised on investments for over 270 schools internationally, educating over 180,000 students.
New Zealand Schools 3 PPP
Enhancing education
Our involvement ranges from the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) initiative, developing over 100 UK schools, to investments in the UK and Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
Through the funds we manage, Amber aims to enhance education by creating modern, well-equipped spaces that encourage learning, growth, and equal opportunities. We work collaboratively with local authorities and commissioning Government agencies, head teachers and facilities providers that manage the day-to-day running of our facilities, ensuring they conform to agreed standards in addition to managing the provision of caretaking, cleaning, security, ICT and grounds maintenance.
Health
Our investments in health infrastructure span over 35 frontline primary and community care assets and businesses, introducing modern health infrastructure solutions that accommodate evolving healthcare practices.
Royal Children's Hospital
A focus on health and social care
We believe there is a benefit in treating healthcare and social care infrastructure as a single focus of development. Consequently, our interests cover a diverse range of facilities, from hospitals to local community clinics, all of which play an important role in providing medical care and promoting public health to local populations of all ages.
Most of our investments are procured through public-private partnerships (PPPs), with the two largest investments by value being the Royal Children’s and Orange Hospitals located in Australia.
Judicial
Amber oversees facilities that provide judicial services including courts, custodial buildings and police facilities in the UK, Europe, Canada, and New Zealand.
Dublin Criminal Courts
Supporting public security
Investments in which Amber has been involved include the internationally recognised Dublin Criminal Courts, the Durham Region Courthouse in Ontario, and the Derbyshire Courts.
Our judicial infrastructure investments focus on creating safe, efficient, and technologically advanced spaces that facilitate legal proceedings and support public security. In doing so, judicial social infrastructure supports the promotion of peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development together with the provision of access to justice.
