Amber have formally become a living wage employer
Amber has recently been formally accredited as a London Living Wage Employer. Whilst this has been a matter of fact for some time as it relates to our employees, the business has made concerted efforts to ensure all our UK suppliers also now meet this minimum hourly wage threshold, voluntarily topping up certain suppliers’ pay where needed.
The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living. It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff/suppliers earn a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum. Since 2011 the Living Wage movement has delivered a pay rise to over 460,000 people and put £3 billion extra into the pockets of low paid workers.
