Amber Infrastructure Group (‘Amber’), the specialist international investment manager, has announced its second Australian infrastructure transaction this month, with its majority owned digital platform, iseek, acquiring a leading South Australian data centre operator, YourDC.
YourDC operates South Australia’s largest ecosystem of carriers, cloud, and managed services with two data centres strategically located to provide convenience and redundancy across the length and breadth of Adelaide. The business provides data centre co-location and connectivity services to a blue-chip customer base of government, defence, education, and multinational enterprise clients, and is the state’s only Tier 3 rated facility.
YourDC’s experienced management team, led by founder and CEO Scott Hicks, will continue to operate and remain invested in the business, ensuring continuity for its large-scale government and enterprise customers.
Amber is the majority owner of iseek, a leading Australian digital infrastructure operator with five purpose-built data centres across Brisbane, Northern Queensland, and Sydney. The YourDC acquisition broadens iseek’s offering, diversifying its geographic, customer and industry profile.
Amber’s growing exposure to Australian digital infrastructure leverages its international digital expertise, which includes investments in European data centre platform Greenergy, and as manager of the UK’s National Digital Infrastructure Fund.

The YourDC transaction follows Amber’s acquisition of leading freight rail leasing business Rail First Asset Management in early September.
