Senior APAC team appointments

16 May 2024

Amber Infrastructure Group, the specialist international infrastructure investment manager (‘Amber’ or the ‘Group’), has appointed Dominic Harvey as its new Head of Asia-Pacific (‘APAC’), dividing his time between New Zealand and Australia, with Tristan Evans, who has been with Amber Australia for over three years, being promoted to Head of APAC Origination.

Dominic will take a leading role, alongside Amber’s other senior personnel in the region, in developing Amber’s existing and future mandates by working with the Group’s established origination and investment management teams based across Amber’s three offices in Australia and in New Zealand.

Previously Dominic was Global CEO of Atkins Acuity, the infrastructure and energy advisory division of Atkins plc and was also part of the group’s global executive leadership team. Dominic has also worked as partner for two international law firms principally in the infrastructure, energy and financing sectors across Middle East and North Africa and Asia Pacific regions.

Dominic assumes the leadership for Amber’s APAC operations from Vaughan Wallace who has resigned and will leave the company in July.  Dominic will be supported by the remaining Australian and New Zealand team.  Notably, Tristan Evans will step up to lead on investment origination for Amber in APAC.

  • We are delighted that Dominic has agreed to join Amber.  We continue to see significant opportunity for growth in the APAC region for Amber, where we have had a presence since 2009.  We are also pleased that Tristan has agreed to lead on our origination efforts to complement Dominic’s expertise.

I would also like to thank Vaughan for his contribution to the business over his tenure with Amber, where his contributions have included expansion into new sectors within the region such as digital infrastructure, together with the establishment of our presence in New Zealand.

  • I am excited to join the Amber team, who I have followed closely over a number of years, and believe it’s a fantastic opportunity to build on the company’s existing platform and grow regional opportunities.
