MEEF provided long-dated debt finance to the London Borough of Westminster to part fund its LEP streetlighting roll out.

Whilst contributing to MEEF’s carbon and energy savings targets the project will also benefit local residents by creating better lit streets and a safer environment.

  • The Project supports economic activity by becoming more carbon efficient, and contributes towards London’s Climate Action Plan, reducing greenhouse gases. 
  • Forecasts predict that the investment will save 360 tonnes of CO2 being released into the atmosphere per annum. 
  • The Project also has an energy savings reduction of 72% and has broader benefits to the local community of Westminster.
