THE BACKGROUND
The Fishponds Primary Care Centre houses two GP surgeries serving approximately 24,000 patients as well as providing accommodation for district nurses, health visitors, speech and language therapists and community-based midwives. The new Centre supports the care model for the transfer of secondary care services away from central hospitals to the local community.
